Well, life as we know it is over, people. Loralai is on the move! She has learned to scoot backwards when she’s on her belly, and if she’s sitting up, she can lean forward on her hands and scoot her butt along. She hasn’t quite mastered crawling yet, but she is getting up on all fours and rocking. She’s close, for sure.
Here she is “hiding” under daddy’s guitar after scooting backwards. The look on her face says, “Aren’t I hilarious?!”
We started baby-proofing, including rearranging some furniture in the living room, and getting rid of our wood coffee table in favor of a soft ottoman that takes up less space. That transition was made just in time, as she just recently pulled herself up using the ottoman!
Now that she’s realized she can go after things that interest her, it’s made her much more curious, and even a little mischievous.
The dogs don’t really know what to think. I’m pretty sure they thought she was much more likeable when she stayed in one place and they could control how often they went in for a close-up visit.
Tails, by the way, fascinate her.
It’s so fun to watch her grow and change every day and to be able to interact with her more and more.
